What is Results Coaching?

Results Coaching is a process in which you bring goals or desired changes to the table, and I as your coach help you identify and take the steps that will move you toward your own desired outcome. We begin by identifying and clarifying what that outcome is. You bring your own agenda, and you do the personal work. This process is entirely about you. Your part is to show up, ready to make changes.

In the area(s) of your life on which you choose to focus, we look at the results you are achieving, contract them with the results you desire, and begin the work of bringing those into alingment.

My part is to add clarity, to ask the questions that will help you break old patterns and think in completely new directions; to help you weed out limiting beliefs and decisions and replace them with deep knowings from your unconscious, which are powerful and empowering for you and your future. I will be supportive of your process, and hold you accountable for what you say you will do. I use state of the art techniques to help you make changes at the unconscious level, which means they are quick and permanent.

Who hires a coach?

Anyone who is determined to get better results is a good coaching candidate, whether you are determined to achieve a specific goal, or a person who needs some help or support to make more general changes. A good coaching experience can save years of frustration or procrastination in moving toward your goals and dreams. The old adage applies: "No one can see the back of their own head." A coach can help you get a view that includes the back of your head - as well as other perspectives you may be missing. We all have blind spots, called Scotomas - as your coach I will help you look into your blind spots and look at what's hiding there.
Coaching is a process that calls for a person to operate from a position of cause, or personal responsibility, rather than effect, or victimhood. If you're willing, I will help you find and maintain that place. Coaching is definitely for proactive people who want to take responsibility for their own state, and make the internal shifts and changes that will bring better results.

How does it work?

We will begin with a readiness assessment session. (Completely FREE, No credit cards required.) This session will give you first hand experience about how the process works, and we'll get an idea of how we fit together. After this session, once we agree to work together, there will be an intake session in which you will talk about your goals, fears, hopes, dreams, and I will ask questions to learn as much about you as I can.
From there we will discuss the relative benefits/structure of Breakthrough Coaching as compared to ongoing coaching. Once we make that decision, we will set a timetable for meetings, and I will give you a format in which to think about things in advance. I will ask you to come prepared with a specific agenda, of what you want to accomplish in each session, along with other things. I will ask for a report before the next meeting of what you've accomplished. I will be available via e-mail and phone during the week, to touch base if you get stuck or need to check in.

My job is to ask penetrating questions and use whatever techniques and processes are appropriate get to the heart of the issues at hand. Eventually, as you identify and clear away any limiting beliefs and disempowering pictures you carry around in your mind, you will get more and more in touch with what makes your heart sing, and what makes things work for you, which means you will be getting better and better results in your life. You will get more and more clear on your dreams and goals, and you will build a deep internal alignment and strong movement toward achieving those goals.
I will support you, I will challenge you, and I will celebrate each gain with you. It is a transformative, exciting, and empowering process.

What will I achieve at the end?

You will learn about truly living at cause, taking responsibility for your emotional state, which creates new behaviors and bring new, desired results. You will have achieved many goals you have set, and feel empowered to continue to take action toward new goals you set yourself; you will have learned new techniques for staying in that powerful, possibility-filled place. You'll be able to look back at the process and realize clearly that it all came from inside you – you just needed help pulling it all out in a way that you could use.

Will your style suit me?

Coaching is a relationship-based experience and this is a good question to ask. We may fit like a glove – and it’s possible that our styles won't match at all. That’s one of the reasons for a complimentary session. At the end of that session, you will have a much better feel for this process, whether it will be likely to help you, and whether we will work well together. There is absolutely no obligation to continue; if you are comfortable, stay, and begin to radically improve the results you are getting in your life.

What is your specialty?

I love to help people embrace change, so they can move forward in peace and joy.
As an openly out Lesbian who figured myself out at 45 and stepped with profound relief and joy into the middle of my own truth, my passion is helping other people who are looking at huge changes in their lives make transitions happily and smoothly. Whatever those changes are.
I work with gay or straight, single or married women and men, and business leaders and teams, who are going through major life shifts. I recognized at one point that my work is all about working with people who know there's more, who are determined to go deeper, and who actively take responsibility for finding the best in themselves, and bringing it to the table, to help create a more integrated, respectful and loving world.
Throughout my life (in coaching, in leading hands-on carpentry projects, in working with children, etc) I have derived my greatest satisfaction and feelings of accomplishment by working with people in situations in which they learn at the deepest level that they are strong and capable; watching people go out and act on that newfound strength is the greatest reward I've ever received.

As a personal life coach, I specialize in setting and reaching personal goals, women and stress, women and business, and women's health issues.

Who have you helped?

I have helped women in relationship crises, emerging Lesbians, people who are losing parents, women wanting to be builders, people who are at the end of their life. I've worked with both women and men in business, in career and life transition.
I learned of my natural inclinations and abilities in this work through helping friends. For years, my friends would call on me when they were at an impasse and needed help sorting through options, ideas or challenges. The more of this work I did, the more I recognized it as my calling, and have gone on to approach it as my career, passionately learning all I can about the tools and techniques that I have seen work so well.
